Sienna had her tear duct surgery/procedure on Friday morning. She was such a trooper! She was very co-operative with the nurses when they checked her vitals signs and did some pre-op tests! We said our good byes and the nurse wheeled Sienna into her OR. She just sat on the bed, looking straight ahead..didn't even once turn around to say goodbye to us. She was so brave!
They put her under and apparently she did really well. About 15 min after we said our goodbyes the Dr. came to see us in the waiting room. My first thought was "Oh No! What went wrong?!" but instead she informed us that the surgery went well and that they unclogged both eyes. Sienna would be in the recovery room for another 30 minutes before we could go and see her. I was OK with that...at least my baby survived the surgery.
Then,.....not even 5 minutes later....a nurse came in requesting Sienna's parents. Now what?! Apparently Sienna had just woken up and was screaming "Mama, Mama". She would not calm down or take the bottle from her nurse. So....Here I come to the rescue. It was heart breaking to hear her scream like that through out the hospital. As soon as she was in my arms she was calm and even drank her bottle.
We waited about 10-15 minutes to make sure the food stayed in her and that her vitals were alright. We were getting her dressed and getting ready to leave when Sienna looked at the nurses, waived and said "bye bye". She was so ready to leave! I don't blame her!
As soon as we arrived home she was ready start playing.

POOR BABY! Ohh, makes me wanna cry! But what a trooper..good girl!
That's my girl! And i am glad to hear that she is doing great and that her parents are doing well after this too!
